Show me the money!!!

Well, they did find our money. The next day around 1p.m.  I mean honestly how do they lose that amount of money. THEN when they found it they had deposited ALL of the money into our account.  I mean the buyers cash and our cash.  Now I said to hunka............let's go shopping. We deserve it after all they have put us thru. lol  I don't know who the lender was for the buyers of our house but I would NEVER ever uses there butts. Talk about idiots.  They screwed up so much. 

This is how we all felt.  Caged in.  Didn't' know how to get out of this mess.  We sat at this Starbucks for two hours waiting for a call to say they found our money and we could get into our house.  FINALLY!!

 

We went by my sisters house to pick up our car that had been shipped earlier.  And off we went to our new home.  Somebody in the backseat looks mighty happy. Ahhh smell that fresh air I heard her say.  Either that or she was letting the caffeine high wear off from Starbucks.

 

WHOA!!!  When did we get back to CA???  Please tell me they do not have traffic like that back here now???    Hunka called me on my cell phone, (that's me behind him) and he says..........what the hell???   lol

 

Here we go.   Love that house on the corner.   The trees......well you know I love them. 

 

Beautiful neighborhood.  We're going to like it here I can tell.

 

Soooo this is a nice house around the corner from ours.  It's freakin huge!!  Sorry about the glare from my car window.

Of course hunka must carry me over the threshold.  Now he can't carry anything else for quite awhile but he eventually DID  carry me over that threshold.   NO easy task I might say.

 

He's sayin I know I can do this!!!  Good lord woman what did you have for lunch???

 

Maybe you shouldn't have taken a break on that loser Monday thingy. He's just sayin.  As his face turns beet red.  ROFLMAO!!!

Ok hunka's turn!!!!!  Boo doesn't seem to be struggling quite so much. 

 

We love our new home.  From the minute we walked thru those doors we felt right at home.  You know how you can just tell?? This is the one??  Well this is it.  I know we're going to be very happy here for a long, long time.

Everyday we made a bigger dent in the boxes. Still have tons to unpack, it will just take time.  Friday truck #2 will arrive so here we go again. Today we took a break, went and bought a new washer/dryer, new mattress,  and groceries.  It was good to just stop unpacking for a day. Tomorrow we're back at it again. 

Thank you for all the great comments you've been leaving.  I enjoy them so much.  I don't have alot of computer time right now to answer but I'm trying.  I usually get to do my post late at night once I sit down before going to beddy bye.  You know, when my poor aching body can't take much more.  So thank you very , very much. 

I did get a nice surprise in the mail yesterday.  A cute card from Cheryl and a housewarming gift from Bonnie.  Talk about surprise! When Iwent to the mailbox and a pkg from a fellow blogger was waiting.   Made my day.  I'll show it tomorrow.  Gotta model it.  Yes I have to model it. And NO not like you said BONNIE.  lolol Thank you sooo much for the nice surprise.  I'll show tomorrow.  I promise.

WE HAVE ARRIVED!!

Yep we made it but you know I have to continue my journey in order.  You wouldn't want me to leave anything out now would you??  Oh by the way.........have you missed me????  lol Even my Boo asked me if I've blogged lately.  And Deb said I HAD to blog tonight.  She even called me today to tell me so.  What a  nice surprise to get a call from her.   So I am.  Got a few text message's from my Polka Dotted friend too.   I've been thru hell and back with this crap. Something just didn't want to let us get our of Ca.  I'm thinking that my Sistas had something to do with that.  They were praying to the moving gods. 

Ok so this might be the last palm trees I see for awhile.  Until I visit Hawaii this winter.

We really had a pretty drive all the way across country. Only a few drops of rain fell on us. Some of the sky look really threatening but never did rain much on us. Maybe someone knew we had been thru enough.

 

And I think I've had it rough!!!!

We decided to stop for gas and let Madeline do her thing before the sky opened up......

And look what I found!!!!!!!! Sweet Uncle Ray!!!!!!!!! I think I love you!!  I just about bought all they had.

OMG  I looked up and saw that middle sign and said........WHAT????????   I say let's head towards Albuquerque!!!!  

 

Ahhhh look an overpass with NO graffiti.  Can you even imagine that??   Im feeling better already.

 

Uh ohhhhh  is that a tornado?????   TOTO   where are you??????????? 

 

Ok now this does NOT happen in Ca.   Oh no it DOES NOT!!!

Now tell me why we had to go to Arizona to find some Ca. dill pickle chips?? I wanna know!!! WHY???

 

Ok so since hunka is now officially retired he wanted to take me to my new shopping place. He said I had to forget about that place that had the "yearly and half yearly" sales.  It starts with a "N" and ends with a "ordstrom".  I'm just sayin!!!  I think I had a panic attack about that time.

I love driving across country.  It's sooo pretty. I'm pretty sure this is the Mayan Ruins.    I'm pretending it is ok?

Helloooo,  STORM!!!  You don't see this in Ca. But you sure do in New Mexico.

Thank you for all of your comments.  I really do enjoy reading them.  I'm sorry I've not been good at commenting lately and answering your emails. I do read all of them .  Once I get thru unpacking some  of these boxes I'll be back to my old blogging self.  So please don't forget me.  Keep leaving those comments.  They are what has gotten me thru all of this.  Honestly they have.  You have no idea what we've been thru. From getting estimates in Ca. for things to be done then getting screwed big time by people who you thought were your friends, to realtors that don't give a rip about you.  You are all great and you make my day with the comments you leave. !!!!! 

A peek inside.

Thanks for all the nice comments about our new house and the move. We're really excited.  Sad to be leaving my friends but excited about the adventure of moving back home.

As promised I've got some photos of the inside, not many.  I'll have more when I get all moved in.

This is the family room as you walk in the front door.  It has vaulted ceilings sort of like the house we have now.  Just not as high up.That skinny thing in the photo is my "after" photo.  Ok It's my little sister. I think she must weigh 85 pounds.  Damn her!!

 

This is the dining room. I've already bought a new light to hang in there.  That wall isn't blue, that's a shadow.  I love the hard wood floors.  There is a den on the other side of the front door. 

The staircase you see to the left is heading into the basement where my sewing area will be.  And a big area it is.  I can't wait!!!  It's not the normal basement stairs with the door and dark and dingey.  It's so wide open.

 

See!!  It's extra wide too.  Like twice the size of a regular staircase. 

 

This is one long, wide room, Daisy will go there along with my big cutting table.  Nice bright sunny spot.

 

This is a long room also in the basement, on the other side of that wall is the previous room,  I think I'll line up all my fabric tray units in this room. It'll be nice to have them all in one place.  Now I have them in two rooms. 

 

The kitchen is going to be gutted before we even unpack. The cabinets are going to be white, some will have bead board fronts, some will have glass fronts, The island is going to be expanded to be much longer, and all counters will be granite, and wood floors.This kitchen makes two of the one I have right now. 

 

This will be the breakfast nook.  I'm going to paint the kitchen walls yellow before they put in the new cabinets. Gotta get a new hanging light too.  That's it for the inside.  Can't wait to show you more. Looks like we'll be out of here by the end of May.  I've got a pajama party to plan, and a huge going away bash!!!   Oh yea there's packing too. 

 

Check out this house.  This is around the corner from ours.  As you can see we bought the small house in the neighborhood.  Lordy bee!!!   Check out that bear, and the gates are to keep US out.  lolol

 

Isn't that one cool bear?  We need one of those.
