Hunka and I took a drive earlier this week. . I stumbled upon a great furniture place with awesome pieces inside and wanted Hunka to go look. One day I was there and I went upstairs to look. BIG mistake. It was filled with furniture. The guy who owns the shop is a retired shop teacher. He has a workshop that Hunka would die to have. We got to go over and look while we were there. We've been trying to decide on an entertainment center to hold our tv, and stereo stuff. We just couldn't see paying what a few places wanted. But now that we have met this guy, we're having one built the way we want it. And it's going to be RED!!! Not red red, but my kind of RED. I took photos while at the place this time. The first time I sorta got very excited and forgot.
Some of his furniture is really old and he just adds, a shelf, a different door, etc. It's all wonderful. Most of it he makes in his workshop. He has these guys that all you have to do is tell them what you have in mind and they can do it.
Love this!!
This red one is coming to my house!!! Going right in my entry way.
All of this furniture is in what I think it the attic. Low ceilings and very dusty. The floors creaked so bad I was afraid we might fall through. Honestly you could see the floor below you in the cracks in the wood beams you were walking on.
There were lots of these benches. Love them.
The chairs he said came from Purdue. They are really old. He knew someone that told him they were clearing out some of their storage so he went and bought all they had.
He made this, it came in a couple different colors.
This is coming to my house. It's going in the basement to use in my gift wrapping area.
This too is coming to my house. It's going in my office to use for shipping packages.
Here's the guys loading my new desk for the office. Can you see the little night stand already in the truck? I wanted to bring more stuff home but no room. The rest will arrive when the new entertainment center is delivered.
A new night stand for me. It's by my bed now. And it's happy there. Very happy.
This is an antique table he had there. It's going next to the new bed in the guest room. It's going to be a white bead board head and foot board. I forgot to take pictures of that.
More great pieces.
They thought this entertainment center they had made might work for us so we went over to take a look. It ended up not being big enough for what we want. But he had two of that door. There old antique doors and he's going to use them on our entertainment center he's making. They will be stripped down and painted red. There will be two of them on that left side.
A better look at the old door.
That's it for now. Hope you enjoyed the tour of the furniture. I wanted to bring it all home.
