I dedicate this post to Miss Dot!!! Without her there would be no cheese ball in my life. And alot of us have enjoyed this cheese ball. I cant' count how many gals I have given this recipe too and they have given it to others. Let's just say this ball has gotten around.
Cheryl gave me a recipe a couple years ago for the best cheese ball around. Since then I can't count how many times I've made that thing. I crave it I tell ya. My friends crave it now, people even ask me to bring two when I come over just so they can have one later for themselves. lol I swear they do. It's that good. And I owe it all to Cheryl. So I'd like to share my cheese ball pictures. I made one yesterday for a work party I hosted tonight at my house. Oh yes this post is dedicated to the cheese ball AND Cheryl.
First you'll need some ingredients.....And a few RED tools. yes they have to be RED.
The recipe will be at the end in case you want to make your very own cheese ball. And I'm pretty sure you will want to.
You dump all your ingredients in a RED bowl..............
Mix it up!! Get those hands dirty. Just dig in, it's the only way to mix it up.
Next you'll wanna chop up some pecans to roll your cheese ball in.
Now you will take that round ball of delicious cheese and roll it around in those heavenly nuts.
And look what you have!!!! Your very own cheese ball to enjoy. You don't even have to share if you don't want to. Just don't tell the family it's in the fridge. Because if you do........well then you must share.
Here's the recipe so you can make one too.
2 pkgs of cream cheese, softened.
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese.
1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch dressing ( just the dry powder)
UPDATE: thanks to a blog reader (JUDY in Mi.)the dressing mix is put in DRY not mixed with the milk. DUH!! I also messed up on the cheese. It's no monterey jack only cheddare. I really didnt want you guys making it the right way. Then mine would taste better than yours. lolol
Mix, mix, mix, squish, squishy, ooey, gooey, get those hands dirty......roll em up, roll em up...........put it on a plate of crushed nuts. Roll it up again, cover it in nuts, then display on your pretty little cheese ball plate. Enjoy!!!
Now do you have a favorite cheese ball recipe?
