Yep that's right one more day and she will be here for 8 glorious days. No it's not her birthday! I just love this photo. It WAS her birthday a few years ago. She's much older now. :) I can not wait to see her. I won't even be able to sleep the next two days. Of course I never sleep so what's new?
I've got lots planned for us. Imos pizza (a St. Louis pizza) on Saturday night her request, Sunday a trip to St. Charles with me, my sister and maybe my cousins. Then it's back here to sew, sew, sew!!!! I'm so happy Nancy is much much better now and is able to come see me.
Thank you for all the donations for my Austism walk. My cousin called me today, she was so happy with all the donations so far. Her daughter Melissa is the one with baby Brenton. Brenton is her grandson so she really appreciates all the help and so do I.
A few weeks ago hunka and I went to this local Antique shop and of course we had our camera with us. I'll show you some of what we saw.
Love this little RED sewing machine.
Wouldn't this be cute with a little quilt in it?
I wish I would have got this.
You know when in an antique shop try on hats! You must! Hunka says I'm going to get lice.
Looks like a beehive on my head.
Hunka put this thing on me!!!! Need I say more??
He played a few tunes............before we got thrown out. lolol
Man these bowls are EXPENSIVE.
and this too.
Loved this cake tin.
Saw lots of these. In great shape too.
Wendy, look at the potholders!! I bought those two big red salt/pepper shakers.
Beth, this is the old dollhouse I told you about.
I would have bought this but clowns freak me out!!! I would never eat another cookie at home if I brought this in my house. WAIT!! I should have bought it!!
I thought this was a nice quilt. It almost came home with me.
Here's what I brought home with me. See lots of RED?? Of course you do. Surprised?? I didn't think so.
Ok gotta run. I've got things to do. In case you didn't hear I have company coming! Yippeeeeeeeeeee

I need to go visit my mom because I think she has some of those old bowls in her cupboards. I already told her I want whatever milk glass she has. Ok, that picture of you with the dead critter on your shoulder is priceless I hope you know. You two must always be getting kicked out of places. LOL Have fun with Nancy! I expect lots of texts and pictures while she's there.

Thanks for the morning laugh, I needed it!
I am also surprised that you didn't pick up that sewing machine, it really would have looked cute with a doll quilt on it. I think you should go back and get it. ;)

What a fun antique shop. I'm going to have to visit more antique shops because I've never seen so many cute things in one place. I would've had trouble leaving a few of those cute things behind. I LOVE RED too! You bought some really nice things! Have a great time with your friend!

Hey, i had a dollhouse just like that growing up ! I used it with my Liddle Kiddles - but honestly, I spent more time "redecorating" that playing with the dollies - no surprise there !!!!
Looks like you had fun and I'll bet you're gonna have a blast with Nancy .... ENJOY !

I love the red sewing machine-Sharon! You found such wonderful things in the antique store-
Bruce and I have been to a local one a few times and I have bought the odd piece of collectibles while we were there.
I have a little red toy iron that came from my grandmother's toy box. It plugged into the wall and actually warmed up. It is kind of beat up now but I love having it in my sewing room because it reminds me of wonderful times with her.
Speaking of wonderful times - I am sure you and Nancy are going have some fantastic times together this coming week. Enjoy.
Warmest regards,
Anna

Have a great time with Nancy! Love all the red you purchased. I would LOVE to have those polka dot bowls. I think those are Fire King or something like that? Mega expensive for "originals".
