I'm not sure why, but I LOVE my birthday's. I don't even care that it means I am getting OLD. I love them. Maybe because as a child I do not remember birthday's being a big deal. But as I am older I love them and they are all wonderful. Because of good friends. What would we do without our friends??? I say nothing. I feel blessed to have such good ones. Which means why sweat the small stuff right?? Here is an example.
Today I was SHOCKED when the doorbell rang. This is what showed up. Thank you so much Brenda. Today is Brenda birthday. We are almost twins. :)
This might be the cutest thing I have ever seen. Do you see that FORD pick up truck?? My dad retired from Ford. He worked there forever. I have only owned Ford cars. Right now I have a Ford Explorer that I love. And now I have a little blue Ford pick up truck that I will treasure forever.
STOP IT I say!!!!!! It's too cute for words. I just love my new blue Ford pickup truck. Brenda has a great website if you love Primitves. Go check her out.
Now my truck sits with my other favorite thing. My Annie dolls. And my new yellow/red quilt. Which by the way is a kit on my website. My BFF Nancy loved it so much she bought it twice. lololol I'd say that's being loyal wouldn't you?
And check this out. I have been looking at it for days!!!! But it says DO NOT open so I did not open. I've walked past this box for days. Talk about torture. lol Not really because I can wait! I've never been one to dig into a pkg. I like to wait and open on the big day. See Beth, I've been a good girl.
Since my birthday is tomorrow we need to pick a winner. I had my BFF Nancy pick the lucky person. And she picked..........................well you'll need to go to her blog to see who wins. she didn't want to pick but I said it's my birthday and I want YOU to pick. She will tell you the reason she picked who she did. And she doesn't know the winner. But I do. And she'll be thrilled to death to win.
I have to show you this photo from my birthday a few years ago. I love it. I was so surprised. I knew the girls were coming over and we were going out to eat. But look at my BFF with those balloons. They are bigger than her!! This was when I still lived in Ca. My last birthday there actually. :(
I miss my friends. I wish they were here to celebrate with me. But Beth and my BFF will be here in April to go to Quilt Market with me and Nancy will be here in July for a whole week!!! YAY!!! I can hardly wait. Quilt market is in Kansas City this year so the girls can come here and stay before we go to market. You know we'll be having some fun. Just the drive to KC will be so much fun. The three of us.
Today my little sister Linda is coming over with my nephew Cody to take me to lunch. They let me pick the place. I've wanted to go to Applebee's forever. So I think that's where we'll go. Then tonight hunka is taking me to dinner at a local place called Mulligan's. Tomorrow hunka and I will spend the whole day in St. Charles for lunch and a stop at the winery. Then...........Boo is in town!!! YIPPEEEEE. He'll be at my house later when we get home hopefully. He and Wilster came over a week ago. Wilster gave me one of my favorite electric candle melter thingy's. I'll have to take a photo of it. You don't have to light a candle. You just sit the jar inside and plug her in. No flames, no house burning down. I love them. He's given me two now.
If you'll excuse me now I think I'll go and open all of my cards that have come this week. See Beth, I do have will power!!! Obviously Nancy doesn't think I do either. She has Fed Ex'd her gifts so they would show up today. Can you believe that?? lolol No trust whatsoever!!!
My Outlook Calendar "beeped" at me last night to get on over here and wish you a Happy Birthday. Of course, it is NOW before that happens. So it goes. Let's go out and have lunch. We keep sayin' we will...............c'mon....... Birthday Hugs 2 You!
