Red Geranium Cottage

St. Charles, my favorite town.

I was going to show more of the trip but I don't want to bore anyone.  So I'm moving on.  

Last week I went shopping in my favorite little town. St. Charles at my favorite little shop. I should know to stay out of there.  I never leave empty handed.  Plus I had several gifts I was in search of for a trip I'm taking.  Maybe you heard, I'm going to see  Beth,  Tammy,  my BFF Nancy and several others friends I've missed over the past two years.  I'll be there for 12 glorious days.  Just sewing, shopping,  eating, drinking and whatever else they have planned for me.  

Back to my shopping trip. I took pictures again for you to see how wonderful this shop is.

Love this whole area.  They have some great patriotic things. 

Cute cupcakes huh?  I've bought several of their flags that you see lying there. They are great as curtains,  draped on a table, or chair.  Love mine.

A couple of the barns they had. They were low on houses but I'm sure they have new ones on order.  

Another house.  or potting shed I'm not sure. I have a potting shed.  It's red of course.  Don't you love the giant bunny?

This was the neatest thing. An egg holder. I didn't get one but I'm thinking about going back for one.  I loved it.

You knw I wanted to buy her. Her name was even Daisy!!! I'm thinking it was meant to be.

She's pretty cute too isn't she?

I really, really,  REALLY want that little wagon. It is metal and looks so old.  Don't know if it is or not but I need it.  Yes NEED.

More Alohaaaaa

I have to put all of these photos on one post because there was so many beautiful floral.  I could have taken so many more photos.  I loved it all. I wish my yard looked half as nice as these. 

I loved this little guy.  Wouldn't he be cool in your backyard?  

There were so many neat looking plants. I'm not even sure what half of them are. 

All of these I'm showing were on the grounds of our hotel.

I found some Geraniums!!

How about some fauna now???  Well I'm not sure if these are fauna or not but to me they are.  So go with it.  These were all on our property too.  

I think they were having a conversation. 

These may not be of the fauna variety.

Have you ever seen so many fish in one place? It was feeding time can ya tell?

This was where the food was for the birds. They were getting some sort of fish out of there.  Looks like the fish might like a bite too. 

These little fellows run all over the place.  Look at the babies can you see them? I was raining so they were trying to stay dry.

And this one.........you better wanna get up and at em bright and early because he is making some noise!!!   Isn't he pretty though?  He was right outside our window and our friends had some really loud ones outside their room.

This one was at the grocery store.   I'm telling you they are everywhere.  

Ok so those aren't real.  They are still fish! 

That's the end of my fauna from Hawaii,  I've got a few from Vegas too. It was everywhere I tell ya.

Man these guys get around don't they?  I think there so pretty from afar. But the nose,  seriously...............what is up with that thing?

Alohaaaaa

Hubby and I took a little trip to Vegas and Hawaii with good friends of ours.  It was a great time even though it did rain quite a bit.  What's a little rain when your in Hawaii right??  

First Hunka and I flew into Vegas to spend a couple days.  Trying to break up that long, long, long flight from St. Louis to Hawaii.  We hadn't been to Vegas since we moved.  Vegas was Hunka's territory for years so we went there often.  I guess I didn't take any photos on the first stop there.  I did get lots on stop two. 

We made it to Hawaii around 5pm  I think it was. We were so confused about the time. It kept changing with each stop we made.  It is so beautiful in Hawaii. We went to Kauai again. A great place to just rest and take it easy. The lobby is beautiful.  We stayed here our last trip a few years ago.  

We got our key and were on our way to the room.  I love looking at all the beautiful greenery.  Flora and Fauna everywhere as far as the eye can see.  

Our room was supposed to be an ocean front room.  Ummmm not so much.  

Well we could see it but we were no ocean front. Not that it's not beautiful.....

So back downstairs hunka goes.  And up he comes with a new key and a new room.This was our new view.   Much better.  

The grounds on this place were beautiful.  You could just stay there the whole time and not leave. Oh wait, that's almost what we did.  We didn't have a car this time, our friends did and we did venture out a few times but mostly we were happy right there. 

The pool area is just beautiful.  As you can see there isn't anyone in it.  That's because it never did get really hot and it rained alot.  Me, myself, I just enjoy looking at the pool. I was not looking forward to suiting up and going out with my glow in the dark skin.  Maybe I am the one that was praying for all that rain.  :-)

This is what we really did, we ate, drank and were merry.  Really merry!!!!  

I thought these glasses were so cool. I had to take a pic. I'm sure the bartender thought I was crazy. 

This is where I was sitting when I saw all of those glasses.  Not to mention all of those bottles back there.  

Oh wait!! That's us. And that is MY Bloody Mary.  It was delish by the way.

We spent some time here listening to the music.........

And having these.........I wanted to keep the glass.  This was some sort of Mai Tai but not your normal Mai Tai.  It was so good.  And don't ya love that umbrella. We should put umbrella's in our drinks all the time.

Love the escalator.  It goes up to the top floor which is where you get your cars. 

At the top they have fresh fruit filled water waiting for you. The fruit changes everyday.  Isn't that pretty and it looks so refreshing. 

Next up I'll show all the wildlife running around.  Yes it deserves it's own post there is so much to show.  Come on back ok?

 

 

 

Homeward Bound

What a fun filled ten days we have had. Its time to pack it up and head home tomorrow bright and early.
Lots of pictures to show.
Time for some zzzzzzzzs now. 5am is going to come quick and you know me and mornings do not mix. See ya.
