We had the best time last night. Only two things missing were my two boys. :-( Boo's busy getting ready to move to Tenn. and Wilster, er Bill er Mr. Bill, aka William, was playing badminton. Yes he's on a team. I think he's the champ. Ok I said that he didn't. But my boys are THAT good alright?? He did play on his baseball team the other night and THEY WON in the playoffs. Bad part is they have ANOTHER game to play. But hey THEY WON!! Oh where was I??? Oh yea, last night my sister and her family came for a bbq. I was in heaven. I actually got to have my sister over for dinner at MY house. Haven't done that in oh...........23 years?? She brought me the cutest concrete frog for my garden area, (she thinks I need more frogs) and a potted plant that she started from one of her flowers. I'll take pics later and show ya.
I had to set up a card table in the little eating are of our kitchen to put the snackies. I only had chips and dip and of course the famous cheese ball. And yes my sister loved it. She even took home half of it. We still haven't ordered the cabinets yet for the kitchen. I made few changes when the contractor came over. I'm adding more cabinets with glass fronts to go over the sink area since that was a big empty spot. And bead board all around the kitchen. Sooooo until then it's a card table.
Ok that's hanging light is going too!! Gotta get a country one in and quick. Can ya get a load of hunka's new shorts?? Boo says that hunka is trying to copy his style. Hunka says to tell Boo he wore short like that 40 years ago. lol
Here's my brother in law trying on the 49er helmet. He's the only one that could get his head inside it. It's a real helmet I bought for hunka a couple years ago for Valentine's Day. It's an authentic helmet like the players wear. It should be in a glass case with a spotlight on it for what I paid. Not on Nick's head.
Hunka wanted to pose with Nick and his helmet. Or is he just guarding the helmet?? And no poor Nick is not that short. Hunka wanted to be funny. I must say we were all laughing when we looked at the photo.
Someone being silly.
Linda and Cody. I swear I hate her being all of 80 pounds. She had the cutest little top on and the littlest pair of shorts. I couldn't get my ankle thru those pair of shorts. And she has my sweater on because........she's COLD. Well yea put some meat on those bones and you won't be wearing that sweater. Just sayin.
I had so much fun last night. It was a perfect evening. Can't wait till we do it again. With my boys hopefully next time.
I promised Deb that I would show some photos of my house. Several of you have been asking too. I was trying to get things all decorated but I'm still not done. So I'll show you what I have done. And no that little window frame is not crooked, my camera was. lol
I love my Ikea bench hunka put together for me.
Remember my new chair I bought when living in Ca?? I got it at Homegoods. Never had a spot to put it but now I do. I love my little reading area.
Another Ikea piece. I'm sure gonna miss that place. Deb and I had so much fun shopping at that store. Remember the tea in her purse? ROFLOL!!!! See the cute little framed picture on the wall? Miss PolkaDot gave me that along with other great things at our champagne brunch. It is the cutest little pic. Miss Cucaroo gave me the smell good candle. I think of both of them when I see my little table area.
Another Ikea dresser. I have two of these in the room.
I still have to hook all of my bracelets on that wire basket. Remember it was in my bathroom at the old house. I love having my favorite things from friends out where I can see. Look there's a pic of me and the sistas, my little dish that Tammy gave me, A bracelet hanging that I bought from Jen a long time ago. Makes me miss all of my friends but also makes me happy to see things from them when I walk in the room.
Ok that was part of one room. More to come. Hopefully I can get the rest of this room done and snap a few for ya.
Have a happy day!! Oh Deb tells us that today is National Slurpee Day!! I hear you can go to 7-11 and get a free one. That's what I read. You might wanna call your local 7-11. And wish them a happy Slurpee Day!! Tell em I sent ya.
One last thing........go over and check out our friend Carole's new quilt shop website. I'm so happy for her. She's doing great. I wish I lived close enough to visit. It looks like a great shop.

Sounds like you are HOME once again after all those years in CA. Love, love, love your chair, oh my, it's just too pretty.

I love that room, it's so fresh and calm-looking. I specially love the quilt on the bed. Do you know what the block pattern is? (I think it might be called Improved 9-patch).
Look forward to seeing more pics when you have time.

The room is so comfy and cozy and full of treasures from dear friends. It's lovely! The IKEA dressers are perfect in there, as is the red bench.

Here come the "Slurpie Girls".... they graduated back in '03 but they had fun!

It's wonderful to have family around! You will get over the Ikea loss eventually when we were in AK I would pour over their catalog and find rip offs at the Fred Meyer.
