Thanks to all of you who are joining in the weight loss fun. Yes I said fun. It's gotta be fun or else we won't do it right?? I promise you lots of surprises and fun. Now I was thinking that Mondays will be our update days. So if you feel so inclined you can leave some tips, recipes, ideas for everyone. You can click on the blog to the left side of my blog. I've got to add a a few more names tonight. Some have said you've post a before photo and more said they won't. I'll let you know when I'd like you brave ones to do this. So you should keep checking my blogs on Mondays. Of course you should be here everyday but for sure on Mondays. Put the little girl button on your side bar so when someone checks your blog they will know your participating. And I'll know too.
So far so good for me. I wont say much because I want to have things to talk about on..........what day was that???? Anyone????? DIETERS?? Are you out there??
Hunka's best friend was here for a few days like I had mentioned. When we went to pick him up I got to see and play with his three adorable grandkids. YES I said HE has grandkids. They are the cutest and sweetest little kids. Of course I brought Christmas gifties. Any chance to buy something pink you know. Yes I bought blue too.
Ellie ( love that name) loves to dress up. She loves the camera I can tell you that. She just got that little outfit with money from her uncle. It has giant wings on the back. But it was falling off a bit there.
Her brother Christian being a BOY!
She had to dress me up. You know how I love the chance to wear a tiara!! She put a bracelet and a lei on me. Ok I want her!
And four month old baby Adam. I was in heaven!!!
Here's a quilt I finished before Christmas. It was for my friend Suzanne. I love those colors.
Hunka is working as fast as he can go on the orders he's gotten. He was pleasantly surprised with all of you wanting them. And they are still available. $29 plus shipping. The colors are red/green/black/eggshell/and mustard. The photo doesnt really show the colors very good. The colors are country shades. Nothing bright.
I made this little Valentine quilt then tea dyed it. Now you can't even see my stitchery I did on it. Well in person you can. Just not in the photo. Maybe it you click on it to enlarge. Dang it!! I really like it too.
Not too exciting going on really. I've been in the sewing room doing a few things for next month. Can't really show you that yet. But it involves a lot of pink. Then I'm getting ready to go see my Boo. I'll be with him for a whole week and can't wait. For that trip I've got all my sewing ready to go. I have a machine at his house so while he's at work I can sew. Stitchery ready for the plane ride. Now to find my warm woolies. But I don't think I have warm woolies. I don't even have woolies. LOL!!
I'll see you tomorrow with our first diet update. Now what shall I wear for my "before" photo!!

MONDAY!! Isn't that the day?? I am very excited to get started and read the tips and recipes for sharing.

The color will come out a bit each time you wash the quilt. Toss it in the wash and it might lighten up enough for you on the first wash.
Love all the quilty stuff, you know I do...I just started my project for next month too and I'm saving it for a while too!
Okay Monday morning, I've got my diet gal on the sidebar and I'm going to get the official...large barge weight for the start!

Hi Sharon!
Thanks for the well wishes on the blog! Always love hearing from you.
What a fab idea for the New Year!! I lost about 20 pounds last year. Was told I had mild Type 2 diabetes and needed to lose about 25 pounds. So I'm looking to lose another 10 at least. I'll check in on Mondays and see how it goes.
Several years ago I got into the Weigh Down program. The gal that does it went off the deep end as far as I'm concerned, but the basic diet is the only one I've ever done that makes any sense to me. It's ALL about portion control. Not what you eat, but how much. I'm not good at deprivation and can't stay with that, but if I can even have a few bites of something I love, I'm satisfied. It's the only thing I've ever been able to stay with. Lost about 20 pounds when I started and didn't gain it back. Just hit a long period of not losing until I got serious about it again last year. And I'm not gaining back this time. Just thought I'd mention it!
Best of luck and Happy New Year!

Our daughter lost weight (40 lbs) by eating half of what she usually did. ....She still eats everything, just less of it; plus, she drinks mainly water. She also started walking 5 minutes a day, two times a day (Now she runs an 1 1/2 hours a day!) I am hoping to do something similar

I don't have a blog but I'm joining the challenge. I did WW last year and lost 14 lbs. Gained back 5 and need to lose that and about 15 more. I'm not doing the meetings but going back on the Flex Plan. I really liked it!! I think the weekly weigh in really motivated me. Maybe checking in here every Monday will do the same. Good Luck to
