Hunka and I stopped at this great antique shop on our way home from Branson last month.  We can't wait to go back to this place. It was a primitive place for sure.  I wanted so much stuff from there. And so did hunka.  He's getting into this primitive stuff. And I like it. 

Hunka spotted a cabinet he wanted. Only problem..... where to put it.

Look, he found another one.   They had some awesome cabinets. And great prices.

I could move right in this room.

Another cute punkin and chair.  Nice white cabinet too. I bought the stool everything is sitting on. 

This looks like it's right out of the 1800's.

I want that old green cabinet.  Wonder if it's still there?

See the red little bench on the ground??? It  went home with me too.  I love those benches for decorating.

Happy November!!

This is a mish mash of stuff.  I take pictures one after the other and then don't get around to posting so here goes.....

You know I'm enjoying these fall months looking forward to winter. But I've had to dig out my capri pants and flip flops again.  It was WARM  here the past few days.  I know, I know winter is coming and there will be no flip flops.  Instead I'll be wearing these......

Hunka bought these for me.  lolol!!!   Don't be jealous now.  You know there K- A -UTE!!

Let me seeee what else I must share with you.  Oh yeaaaa Miss Anna I do not like to disappoint you so....... Here's my fire house trip.  This is my afternoon class.  I was lucky enough to go twice that day.  The second time I was the only teacher going.  A little one on one with Mr. Hot man I mean Fireman!! 

Do ya just love a man in a uniform??  And I loved when he talked with that mask on. I'm just sayin!!!!    FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look!!! Bambi was waiting for me when I got home about a week ago.  My new pet.  Madeline's not so crazy about my new pet. But I think she's beautiful. 

Can you smell it?? That new car smell??   Can you believe hunka even let me in that thing??  Hey, hey I wasn't driving when I totaled it.  Ok I didn't total it the young kid did. We went foreign this time. Tired of the crap you get when you buy an American car and things go wrong.  Hunka has never bought a foreign car in his 60 plus years.  Ooops did I say 60??? PLUS???   Shhhhhhh

Now can YOU sleep like that??   I'm gonna try it tonight.  After I take my Ambien of course.

Check out the different colors in my backyard a week ago.  Is that pretty or what?  I LOVE IT!!!  But.............I do not love all those leaves that are knee deep in our yard. 

This is wayyyyy down behind our yard.  Yes it's all ours but do we go in there??  Not without my boots on.  lolol 

Went out with a couple high school friends for margaritas last week.  Jeanne and Kathy still look just like they did in school.  Can ya dig that red/yellow wall?? whoa!!

Kitchen update!!!   Ok let's NOT talk about the kitchen. I'm trying to stay calm. Have you ever tried to stay calm while suffering from menopause??  I rest my case.  Ok those little shelfs are going.  I think I said before I did not put those in.  We decided on a paint color. It's a light beige.  A little different shade from the cabinets.  Lights in...........lights on!!  Back-splash was done but..........wrong color. Now it's about to be ripped out. I almost cried when I walked in last week and saw it.  I want these people out of my house!!! NOW!! 

I do love my new lights.  They are alike but the one above the stove is HUGE the other one is a smaller one.  Pottery barn clearance.  I've got little shades to put on each light once there done with all the sanding.

Ok,  that's it for tonight.  Sorry I've been gone soo long.  Kathy came looking for me. So I thought I should make an appearance. 

I want to wish my friends Nancy and Tammythe happiest of birthdays.  Yesterday was their day.  I finally got the packages out on time and they received in time!!! YEAH!!!  I was sad that I wasn't there to celebrate with them.  I miss my friends very much. Yes these are photo's from before I left.  :-( I'm still waiting on visitors!!  Wonder who's gonna be first???   I think I know but I'm not sayin.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

We had a great day. Went to my sister's house this afternoon, had food and drink, then waited for all the little trick or treaters.  What fun handing out candy. And today is my nephew's birthday too.  Even more fun.

My brother in law kept saying the picture was turning out too bright. Well DUH because there is a big yellow chicken in the photo!!!!!! I'm just sayin.

What? You never seen a chicken drink wine?   Well in Missouri they do. I think that's hwy they call it Organic chicken.

Just a lonely chicken by the tree. Ohh do you see my new car??   I know it's not red. That is a requirement in my family but there were no red ones in the lot.  So I allowed white into the family this one time. 

Birthday boy got lots of candy!  Time to share with his aunt.

Achooey!!!

Well the old nasty flu bug bit me and it bit me hard.  I'm not sure which one of those little cute kids infected me but they didn't mess around.  I went to bed Tuesday night last week thinking........uh oh I've got something. Wed. morning not feeling so well but went to work.  By the time I got home that night.......not so good. Thursday I couldn't lift my head off the pillow. I still have not went back to work.  Going back on Monday.  Let's hope I've paid my dues and I'll be well the rest of the winter. 

Kitchen is getting closer to being finished.  I'll take more pictures this week.  I did cook in there twice so far.  It feels good not having to eat out anymore.  We still don't have a microwave but at least we have a new stove that works.  Hunka did buy  a microwave and it was the biggest thing ever and yes.... it's going back!!!  Not sure what he was thinking.  But you know men, the bigger the better.  Thanks for all your nice comments and suggestions about the paint.  I think I'll put my stuff in there and think about it for awhile.  You know I'm in no hurry to do any painting. I hate doing that.  I'm about to bust into the Christmas cookie baking.  That sounds like so much more fun. 

I did take a few pictures of my sewing room. I'm getting it organized a bit.  So here goes.

I love having the fish pond right outside my door. I get to listen to the waterfall while I'm sewing. 

 

Hunka was trying to hang curtain rods and flipped my little raggedy ann thing above the shelfs.  Unless we had an earthquake.  Oh wait, wrong place.   Must have been hunka.

I got to get busy and make my curtains. Hunka is making shelfs to go around my ceiling so I can put stuff up there.  It's all a work in progress still.  I've not spent alot of time down here lately.  I've not got that creative feeling yet.  I'm hoping to get it soon. 

LOOK my annie swag is hanging back up again. 

I was happy to have this closet right outside my sewing room bathroom. But I filled it wayyy tooooo fast. 

Lordy what a bunch of kits.  lol   Do you think I'll ever make half of them?? Nope, me either. 

This is the view to the stairs that goes upstairs to the house.  The pictures I've shown are only half of my sewing area.  I haven't got the other half done yet. 

This is at the bottom of the stairs. The quilt rack used to be in the hallway at our other house in Ca. I'm not crazy about that wallpaper but do not feel like ripping it out now either.  So I'll live with it for awhile.

This is looking to your left at the bottom of the stairs. That's Daisy's room over there. Yep she has her own bedroom.

I made up a couple little fall table toppers to lay around.  I started a Christmas runner that is going to my sister and I did a fall bag.  That's about it for my sewing lately.

This is the bag I'm making out of a towel.  I've still got to make the handles then it's finished.  I loved the brown towel. It looks like velour.  But it's terry cloth.

The top one is the table runner and the bottom one is a little table topper. I'm stitching little blocks to go in the open white squares.

We're just about finished over here.  The time really has flown by I must say.  Only this last week did we start to get a little over anxious.  The eating out is getting to us. It's always fun to think about but even me the fast food Queen does not like it anymore. I'm watching the Food TV channel all the time now preparing for my first meal to christen the new stove with.  And NO Cheryl we are not christening that big new island. It aint happenin.  And I am JUST SAYIN.   lol

No more dark cabinets and linoleum.  Now I have nothing against linoleum but this one was starting to rip up in places.  You know hard of a time I have walking when things are flat.  I don't need any sticking up pieces to help me go flying thru the kitchen.

Ok so let the construction begin!!!! This is where that little desk was in pic. #2.  Look how much longer the island is. It's 9 ft long now.

We did two different counter top colors.  The white in the middle and the darker on the outer sides. I love love love my plate rack. The microwave goes in that open area.

Those little white shelf between the cabinets on the wall are coming off. They were there when we moved in. Barely hanging on. Back splash goes on this week and electric finished.

Look at the skinny one! I could just squeeze her. But I'm afraid I might break her.  Did I tell you.........she so damn skinny?   She couldn't wait to try out the new counter top. But of course it's strong enough to hold her butt.  You won't see me up on that. For more than one reason.  I'm just sayin...............Not that kind of cookin going on in MY kitchen.  Ohh and see my stove. They put that in on Friday.  We thought we could cook this weekend but the electrician had not run the electric to it yet. So no igniter's for the gas.  Damn it!  I was sooo excited. 

Sooooo now I need your help. What to do with the paint??  I like the lighter brown/beige color but does and is it going to look good with the kitchen? Im not sure what to do. It's the paint color that's thru most of our house.  And on that far wall behind Linda that connects right on into the family room.  So if we change the color where do we stop??  The tile floor is a light color and the backsplash will be the same exact tiles only small ones with that border I showed months back.  HELP!

Here's more pictures from our trip.

Howdy partner! Who is this tall drink of water?  I kept talking about him and hunka finally says DO YOU want your picture taken with him?? WELL DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sometime's he's so slow on the uptake. 

While I was hanging out with my new squeeze I put hunka in here.  Then I knew he'd be no trouble. 

Look here's his new "friend". He won't miss me at all.

Hunka found a new friend.  His name is Jack.  As if you didn't know that. 

This really works, the guy uses it to have power to cut wood I think. lol  That's what I got from it.

Ok the line for this fried food was down around the corner.  Now some of it looks good but NOTHING is good enough for my lazy butt to wait in line for an hour for. I'm just sayin!!!

Now THAT is a pan of fried okra. I love that stuff but............again not standing in the line.

WITH bacon.............now I was tempted to stand in line for this.  But I think I spied an onion an you know me and onions do not mix. So I took my picture and kept on walking.

I think that's about it for the fried food.  I've still got more to show you.  Just a little left. Then I'll show you my kitchen pics.  It's almost finished. Granite is going in on Friday and next week they will finish up everything else.  We can not wait. This eating out is getting to us. The only vegetable I've had in weeks in lettuce.  Just not cutting it.  We've eaten at just about every food place we can think of.  Even started hitting them for the second and third times. I may not eat out again for a year.  Ok I take that back.  But it would be nice to be able to just heat up some soup of a cup of tea.  Can't even do that. 

My job is going awesome. I love it still. The kids are so adorable, what's not to love about it? Today was class picture day.They cracked me up getting there photos taken.  I loved being in the middle of the class photo with all of them.  Last week we went to the fire station..........now that was fun.  Firemen, what's not to love?  I even got to go twice because I have two classes.  YEEEHAW!! sign me up for a third.  Ok I'm just kidding, let's not get carried away here.

Can you believe I'm back again?

I think I'm on a roll here. I've got so much to show so I thought I best get going and do a blog post every other day at least.  I'm doing good so far.

Hunka and I took a little trip to Branson last week. It was just beautiful there. And the drive was awesome.  We had so much fun. Spent two days there.  I had not been for years. Used to go every year at Spring break with the kids when they were little.

Not too promising but.........the sun came out and it was a beautiful day.

Too bad Marie and Donny weren't in town. I would have been there front row.

What a difference in weather just a couple hours make.

Grandma was weaving baskets and her husband was the blacksmith. He made the handles for her baskets.

There's her hubby.  He made some cool stuff.  We made a few purchases from them.

Thank you for all the nice comments.  Unfortunately we found out today.......the car was totaled. We will be buying a new car now.  Not really what we had in our plans but you know what they say.................s*it happens.  I'm lucky I wasn't in the car and the good thing about that day is, I went back in the shop, met some wonderful ladies and will be taking classes there.  So there was a reason for me to be there.  Hubby didn't know it but he really wanted a new car.  lol  I feel bad that his is gone but...........I'm sure he'll pick out something cool.

Speaking of hubby, hunka came to school today. He was my show n tell.  I introduced all my little kiddies to Mr. Dennis.  He was dying to see what I do all day.  So he came and spent a couple hours with us.  I'm pretty sure that now he too will be begging for some grandkids.  Boys you've been warned. 

How about some beautiful trees changing there colors?  I am loving all the trees everywhere and the beautiful colors.  These are all in my neighborhood. Most on my street.

These are in my yard. They were already there but of course I had no idea what they were until it bloomed.  I love them.

Do you own a red car parked out front????

Tuesday morning I decided to check out a wool shop in the area that someone had told me about.  I also had told my sister I'd be over to see her.  Made it to the wool shop, went inside,  found a new rug hooking pattern I want to make.  Decided to buy some wool and strip it so I could get started.  A gal walks in the back room and says, "does anyone own a red car parked outside?"  Ok that is not a good question to be asked. Especially when your answer is....why yes, I do. 

That pictures above is what I saw when I walked out the front door.  This guy lost control trying to avoid hitting another lady. Hit me instead. Now his insurance says, umm there not sure they want to take responsibility yet.  What the ?????  I see I was not in my freakin car but I caused this???  Not to mention a stop sign was just to the right of my bumper.  Uhh were we maybe going a tad bit too fast?? I dont know you be the judge?

An eyewitness said my car came up and into the air. Went down and landed on part of his car.  I was parked to the left of where his car is now.  He moved my car that far over. OH wait, but it's my fault.   Now we have a rental car which they are refusing to cover too.  Unreal huh?  Maybe they haven't heard of Karma.  Maybe they will be introduced to her. She bites hard. 

Needless to say I left the shop, my loot and all. Went back today and got my stuff and also signed up for a class.  I told them I'd forever remember there shop. And no I didnt park in that same spot.  lol  I parked up the street.

I've been doing a little fall decorating.  Not as much as I wanted to because part of the house is tore up still.  I'll be going all out for Christmas though.

A little girl down the street ran up to my front door, rang the door bell and ran!  I saw her thru the dining room window. I ran outside and scared the crap out of her!!  But while she was there she flipped my Trick or Treat sign upside down.  Grrrrr dont make me come down there! 

See the dish of potpourri with the candle in the middle? Our friends came over about a week ago.  Spark, Dennis' BFF  reached over grabbed a handful and ate it!  I looked at him and saw his face all wrinkled up,  his hand over his mouth spitting something out.  He tried to eat my stuff!!  He thought it was candy!!  roflol!!!  MEN!!  The rose hips looked like Boston Baked Beans to him.
