How's everyone doing? We are in Fall mode around here. The weather has cooled off and it's almost sweater time.
I spent a week in Michigan with my friend Carol at a retreat that was hosted by Pam Buda and Lynne Hagemeir. It was a nice relaxing week. The weather was beautiful and the company great. We got so many projects from the girls that no way could we finish anything. But we sure did start a lot.
The outside of the hotel reminded me of Branson, Missouri. Such a homey looking place.
The rooms were neat as well. All the furniture was this big wooden pieces. Log cabin looking. And our room was right on the beach. Carol and I woke up each day thinking we were on a cruise.
This was the view outside of our balcony. The hotel had it's own private beach. And wouldn't you know we forgot our bikini's. I hate when that happens.
Just beautiful isn't it?
Check out our watch bird. He looks fake doesn't he?
This is the first kit we received at the retreat. Pam's quilt is beautiful. I can't wait to finish mine. This is a pattern she only uses for her retreats for now. It's awesome the way she puts it together.
And this was the kit we received from Lynne.
Both ladies could not have been nicer. They were just like one of us. Hung out with us and chatted, helped up, made us laugh...........It was a fun time for sure. Once Carol got there. She had a bit of a delay.Like EIGHT hours. Thank you Delta Airlines. Never flying them again. They left early and left Carol standing at the gate. Knowing she was waiting there. Southwest, that's the only way to go if you can. My opinion of course. :)
